Constitutional Award

The Madison County Republican Committee (REC) hosted their Annual James Madison Constitutional Dinner on Tuesday, May 16, at Divine Events. Madison County’s REC Chairman, Bob Bezick, served as emcee for the evening. This year’s theme was dedicated to veterans. Veterans from American Legion Post #224 were some of the sponsored guests in attendance at this event. Most branches of the military were in attendance and recognized. There was a special table reserved for POW/MIAs, who could not be there in person. Rev. Joe Boyles gave the invocation followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by REC State Committeeman, JP Maultsby. Stuart Scott, Precinct Committeeman, introduced this year’s James Blair Constitutional Award recipient, Jeff Minder. This award is given to the individual that displays initiative to help themselves and those around them without waiting for government assistance. Jeff Minder exemplifies this mindset on a daily basis by mentoring individuals in entrepreneurship and the ways of capitalism. Jeff has served his country from Special Ops to computer program design and is now the owner of Top Tier K-9, here in Madison. He has a “can do” mentality and a deep sense of pride and patriotism.

The keynote speaker this year was Scott James, conservative radio talk show host. James is the radio host and owner of Talk 107.5FM, Talk 92.1FM, 1150AM, and 1490AM. James is a native from Cocoa Beach, FL that has been in radio since 1987. He is the host of The Scott James Morning Show which is not only heard on FM/AM radio stations, but is also a favorite on Internet-based networks such as iCRN, WDFP, and Red Nation Rising. James works tirelessly to make his listeners aware of not only local happenings, but national political news and events as well. He has worked many vocations, held many titles, and has lived in various states of our beautiful country, but he has never forgotten to thank God for the servant’s life He has allowed him to lead. He is a true patriot who loves his God and his country. James was so moved by Jeff Minder and his true patriotism, that he offered Minder a one-hour weekly radio talk show on 107.5FM. So tune in to listen to Jeff and his weekly segment titled, “The Undefeated.”

The Madison County REC would like to thank all who attended this special night and give special thanks to all those who sponsored one or more veterans allowing this dinner to be a special tribute to the truly deserving.
